running in?

hey just had the big ends replaced now running in, the nissan book guide suggest
500miles @ no more than 4,000rpm and no more than 55mph to speed, is this right, if so i'll go mad, as i hardly drive the car :shock:

just let it run for half hr then do 50 miles then rape the fuck out of it

The Nissan running in guide is for a new engine not just new big ends.

Just lay off the loud pedal a bit for a while and make sure your oil is properly warm before giving anything over 4000rpm.

Change your oil after 500 miles to be sure.

Worst thing you can do with new bearings / bores is sit at a continuous speed - avoid cruising at 70 on the motorway!

If you need some miles put on it lend it to me, I'm doing about 500 miles a week in my R at the mo :?
