Just got back from a Rolling road tune on my R, first time on the rollers since i bought it 8)

After a couple of runs i got -

298 bhp and 236 lbft 8) Pretty good i though.

Spec - mongoose 5" exhaust, k+n air filter, and boost raised to one bar with a bleed valve.

Really surprissed with the power figure, i was expecting around 260-285..

8)

What would be the cause of such low torque?
I got a big jump in torque when I fitted the motec and front mount
so I guess it would be down to correct fueling and ign's plus good
air temp  .

What rollers did you use matt?
PTS are very acurate so i suggest most of you take a hike down there before posting these figures  Isn't 199 a standrd R torque figure?
If these figures are right you should be celebrating thats excellent with a mapping session you'll be over 300 and have better torque

Took a trip down to power stations, pretty long drive though

Really impressed with the power figure 8) But a little dissapointed with the torque :? Will have to work on that one..

Had a change of spark plugs while i was there, the last owner had cosworth spark plugs in the R :?

I think your torque is down to the bleed valve if you had a dawes device
it would allow the boost to come in earlier as the wastegate is not leaking
as much as a non sprung valve and would give you more torque over all

I can get a full rebuild for what your Showtec cost, muppet.Thinking of going GEMS now for less than half the price of Slotec.

Well knowing your track record your be to tight to get the full system
and have the rest of the car held together with sticky tape and on your
first outting it will fall apart half way down the strip at least mine works
and is already in the low 12's with a good driver   .

fookin meow!!
new to the board and damm!!

Motec is the best ECU and great if you afford it! might be overkill for a road kill but man is the curve for fuel and air ratio sth else! just so steady and strong...like nothing else and at elast you can get rid of poxy afms!!

I remember Vs car on the rollers and it had a sweet torque curve!!

When i had the rolling road tune he said that my actuator was sticking? And that i should replace is fairly quickly! Could this be down to the lack of torque?

How mush is an actuator? :)
