RPM needle wondering on start up

Hi there, when i start my car up the RPM needle will wonder up to about 4000rpm then after about 10 seconds its back to normal then doesnt do it again, anyone got any ideas,

sounds like one of your injectors might be leaking (dribbling) may be a good idea to have the injectors spray pattern tested

Are we talking about just the needle wandering here or the actual engine revs physically rising with the rev counter?????

just the needle wondering, something else went wrong today too, one of the bulbs has gone on the clocks! just hope it isnt going to be a summer of problems.
