There a pot of **** fella only thing is when you take the head bolt's out there like fencing sword's very long and they go to a baffle plate below the crank.

When you put them back place them in with care don't just drop them in as you will damage the thread on the baffle plate. Apart from the you just get your usual rover rubbish like snapped bolt's and stuff.

Oh the cam's tend to not stayed timed up when you remove the cam belt so you may need a locking tool or an extra pair of hand's when timeing it back up hope this help's.

before you remove head, take spark plugs out, as the liners quite often lift which causes the bottom cylinder seals to leak! be very carefull when lifting head from block as its the suction which lifts the liners. and whatever you do DO NOT turn engine by crank once head is off, as this will bugger them for sure! good luck

you can get a 3 piece gasket from land rover, did a TF the other week and was supplied with this gasket and a spacer gasket

Rover did make an upgraded head gasket from the origonal one that kept going. I am sure it is a 3 layer.
