hello there im a bit confused see power station had my r on there rollers and i think it was rich anyway he used 3rd i think and as soon as the power band started to fall he was of the gas

So at the next rolling road it was at thor racing on the dyno pack i wasent paying much notice on the gear he used and he did the same as soon as the power band droped he was of the gas

A few days ago i was at moto-tec and he used 4th gear and bounced the valves (limiter) 3 times 0.7 0.9 1.0 bar i said hold on why are you hitting the limiter he replied i will get a better reading???????????

What do u guys think or now what gear ? and has any tuner hit the limiter in you cars while on the rollers

I'm no expert on rolling roads  but most R's seem to make peak power before you hit the limiter so cant see the point in doing it really :?

Well lane hit the limiter on mine several times last november, they also had it on the rollers longer than any other car (I was just praying the headgasket would hold up  ) They said it was too fast for the rollers or something because of the gearing :? can't see why as it only had 4bhp more than the previous visit. (more torque tho :) )

most of the printouts that i've seen have maximum bhp @ approx 6k and in 4th gear.think as std,it makes max bhp at 6200rpm.

can't see the point of hitting the limiter unless of course you've got high lift cams and a raised rev limit.

Been there a few times when Pete at MotorTec has bounced a few cars off their limiter, the highest bhp I have seen him acheive while I was there was a Nissan R32 Skyline at 417bhp and the bhp was still rising to the limiter :)

The first time I seen him do it I was like

They are not pulsar specialists so maybe they are not sure when they acheive peak power and all that  but they are good honest geezers so I think your Pulsar was alright :D

But I have not put my car on their rollers :p

Totally agree, when my car was last on the Dyno Pack it was taken over 6 runs and backed off at just over 7k revs in fourth gear, and peak power was reached at 6900 revs. :D So i have now set my shift light to 6900revs,right on the powerline 8)

I woulden't take my car to them they are a bunch of idiots and they don't have a clue in what they do. My mate took his evo 8 mr340 to fit a boost controller. They put it on the rollers and made 380bhp. So when my mate drove the car it was less than 250bhp. So he took it to ND and he got it back to 340bhp, I ahve heard a few people not having good expierence with them. SO KEEP AWAY FROM THEM
