Removing timing chain

Rebuilding a SR20DET engine and trying to remove the timing chain, the allen bolts that hold the tensioners on don't want to undo :evil: , I take they are supposed to come undone or is the chain a split link.

Any advice or tricks

yeh you have to undo the allen bolts that hold the guides on, you also have to remove the head to get the chain off aswell :shock:
You might find that the allen bolts are locktighted and will be difficult to undo, and could try gently heating the bolts to soften the locktight but this could be problem as you may melt the guide doing it
