Need to replace my offside inner CV boot as its currently in 2 pieces :(

Any tips on how to remove it, and do I need to drop the gearbox oil???

Chris :)

Got to do the same tomorrow but with my offside outer. Bloody things!!

Just asking the old man who did mine last time and he says from memory he thinks you have to drain the oil.

You dont have to remove the cup from the gearbox ;-) ,iirc, remove the outer CV from the hub(if you dont know how to do this then why you messin),then unclip the inner boot and again iirc the inner CV will pull out of the cup dropping the bearings, dont worry as you can replace them easily, now with a rubber or plastic mallet knock the centre part off the drive shaft. Now replace in reverse order remembering to fill the cup and boot with grease.
