Recommend a Pulsar Tuner/MOT Garage in Surrey.

Hello GTiROC,

Could fellow members recommend a Pulsar tuner in the Surrey area?
Or indeed one that would be familiar with a Motec ECU.

An MOT coming up and finding a garage to trust with your motor is difficult by your own but perhaps easier by recommendation?
I'd expect them to be able to adjust the AFR to get the emissions to pass as opposed to be left to DIY it.

Ed doesn't do MOTEC, however he'll def have a look at it for you regardless, if he doesn't work out, try Eurospec2000, they don't specialise in R's like Ed does but they do have a decent knowledge of most Jap cars.

I'd take a punt that Ed, like many other garages, takes the car to someone local whom he trusts to do the MOT fairly. - No conflict of interest there, and everyone's happy.

Incidentally, the website lists MOTEC as ECUs that they can map; you'd need to ring for a quote (according to the website), but seeing as they used to map them I don't see why they wouldn't be able to do it now.

I do motec PobodY, your spot on. There is a local MOT station down the road I use for MOTs. Cars must be MOT worthy of course, but so far they have fair to me.

edd is based 5 mins away from the rolling road he uses (surry rolling road) but i am sure they personally map alot of different cars and ecu's. so i was suggesting see edd but maybe they had software or knoledge of mapping motec

I can supply and map Syvecs... In fact its my preferred ecu for people not sacrificing features for price

For anyone interested (Red already knows this), it takes about 1 second for a Motec ecu to realise its in an over-boost situation. At maximum load/rpm this can make the difference between melted engine or not... Syvecs is all but instant..

ed maps on the surrey rr, and i think independent tuners use it to map on rather than surrey rr doing the mapping, hes just a one man band that drives the cars on the rollers if that makes sense
