What's the best way to clean an R engine? Is it safe to hose it? Also has anyone put a jet wash in there scoop to spray the inter cooler?

Nooooooooooo...... don't put anything in your scoop! The water will go straight through and end up in no.1 plug well and your car will run like poo until you dry it out.

Take the IC off the car if you really must clean it but even then I wouldn't go near it with a pressure washer.

I have had all four of mine steam cleaned .....but use plastic bags to cover the plug holes so no water goes in . all have been ok
