Pump voltage

id like to check the voltage to the fuel pump on my R, is it as simple as using a voltage meter from the relay side, then the last bit of wiring next to the plug into the pump and check the voltage drop??
and what volts should it be using?:-D

Ideally you want the voltage at the fuel pump to be as near as possible to the voltage the alternator is producing ;-)

I'd check the voltage across the battery terminals with the car running and then check it again at the pump. You should be getting around 13.5-14.5 volts.

I got 13.7 to 13.75 when checking mine so as mark says above really
