Profec B playing up?

The last few days Ive been having problems where generally in first gear, the car momentarily only boosts to standard, then will suddenly rocket to full boost. It has done it in second once or twice but never in higher gears. They go straight to my high boost limit, 1.3 bar with no problems! I'm supposing that its the controller but if anyone has any idea's please give me some pointers!! :?

sounds like the solenoid valve is playing up and sticking open sometimes allowing the boost pressure staight to the actuator.

I have no idea if they are servicable or replaceable separately to the entire kit.

As a matter of interest how long has it been on the car?

I think its been a couple of years now, incidently it has started behaving very strangely as of today! in low boost(0.9bar) it is now sometimes hittning 1.1/1.2 and still playing about in first gea in the high setting. I can feel my bank account taking another R related hit! :evil: :lol:

solenoid sticking shut!

do you still have the standard actuator solenoid?

Try putting it all back to standard and make sure it behaves itself!

Another thought....

Check the connections where the boost pipe to the Profec splices into the pipework. If this is a little loose or leaking the Profec may not be seeing the correct boost.
