Powersteering Belt Length

Anyone know the correct length for the PS / Water Pump belt?

I took the old one into my local motor factors and they matched it up (or so they thought) - but the new one is just too short to get on :evil: I've got no skin on the knuckles on my right hand now from trying to squeeze it on :evil: :evil:

The old one says 920 on it whilst the new one is 913 - is that the length in mm?

The new alternator belt is fine - the one that came off was a 1025, the new one is 1035. But it's tensioned up fine with plenty of adjustment left.

I've had to put the old PS belt back on now so I can use the car to go change the belt - so will have to do it all again :roll:

The number quoted on a belt is the length in mm mate Can't believe they gave you a 913 and expected it to fit :roll: :lol:

I'll go and get a longer one.

Don't suppose they'll take this one back now it's all grubby

Just clean it up, take it back and demand an exchange for the right belt :twisted: After all they gave you the wrong belt in the first place!! :roll:

Matey at the motor factors was alright about it - just swapped it for a 925 so should be just fine.

A job for tomorrow now, it's going dark - oh for a garage to work in :roll:
