I bought a second-hand PFC Commander unit recently for a bit of a bargain price. The screen was a bit scratched, but I thought I could live with it. Unfortunately, the readability was drastically reduced in daylight compared to a new unit that I'd experienced previously.
So, I took a gamble and bought some Displex from ebay. Result? All fine scratches have gone, the larger scratches have all but disappeared and the unit is now very readable. I used the stuff as directed and it took a number of applications with light pressure, but the results were quite astonishing. Best of all: it was only a couple of quid.
Just a quick tip from someone who took a risk on frigging up a Commander display so you don't have to
