overheating

last week i noticed my car starting to over heat and the antifreeze and water were a brown colour in the rad. i got some advice of a chap of here and removed the thermostat to see if this worked this seemed to work fine no overheating was happening. Then i decided to flush the coolant system as i was told the liquid in the radiator should not be this colour which i thought anyway i flushed out theradiator with some rad flush and repalced the coolant and water. the coolant was glyco-shell. i got all the air locks out and then went for a short drive and for some reason it started to over heat what could be the cause of this should i be using a different coolant thanks for any advice

Coolant wont make any difference, shouldnt overheat even with 100% water.

Is the radiator getting hot all over, if not you prob have an air lock. Can you get hot air inside the car, again if not prob an airlock. Does your cooling fan work?
