They are really basic by todays standards, think they only adjust fuelling in relation to rpm so are a bit rough if you know what I mean.
You would always have a compromise, as your fuelling might be set up for full load high boost, and could then be way out on light throttle or lower boost at the same rpm.
You could always have it set up for gunning it (1/4 mile etc) then just switch it off for normal running about, to be honest tho there are alot of better options out there for daily use at not much more cost
