..take a chance here and try not too sound like a phukn idiot but,

i recently bought a wideband sensor etc and wondered that instead of pissing about fitting bungs into the downpipe, could i not just drill a hole in the rear can / muffler and fit it there ?.
I was going to use the existing port and power feed from my flamer kit (don't laugh), and go from there.
Would this work or with it being so far at the end of the exhaust, would i receive inaccurate readings ?.

Thanks and.....be gentle.

you wont get a good reading from tail pipe as everytime you lift off throttle air gets sucked in and it will read lean
you need a venturi tube to get a good reading
sickboy what wrong with flamer kits

I thiiiink you can use the existing lambda sensor plug if you don't mind the car running a little richer when the ecu maps use it.

Best bet is get a garage to weld one in, they shouldn't charge much for it.
