oil temp gauge wires

Hi guys put three hks power gauges in me dash on sunday all work fine, apart from the oil temp, it has the yellow (12v) and black (ground wire) going in to it ...
No temp thou, do you need to attach other wires to the gauge to get the sensor to work, if so which colours...

I would assume that the wires that went to the stock will be all that is needed tbh. Trace back and make sure none are broken or some how the wires on the sensor itself haven't fallen off :lol:
