oil leakage!!

hi i removed the whole sump pan to re-seal it! but i still have a leak it apears to be coming from the top of the oil pump! i cleaned it all off and drove her for 30 miles on standard boost! re checked! all okay no oil leaks! but my standard oil pressure gauge has allways been showing high oil pressure 8 bar when cold and 5 bar when hot! and if i turn the boost up to 1 bar! i start to get a oil leak from the oil pump area and the oil filter! which is a nissan filter! but these only leak when the boost is turned up to 1 bar!! any ideas???

did you! smear the seal around! the oil filter with some oil!

I think the boost! thing may be a red! herring!

yeah and ive tryed 2 diffrent oil filters!

whats the oil pressure read when on boost?

the standard gauge reads 6 bar on boost dont know how accurate that is tho

its a possibility that you may have a jammed oil pressure relief valve in the pump which will blow the seal on filter if so.
you really need to check the pressure with an accurate manual gauge to see what pressure its putting out!

yeah been told it could be a pressure release valve jammed!
the only time ive seen it at about 2 bar was when i hit a massive bump in the road ! but then it went back up to 6 bar again??!?!?
