Oil from BOV

Hi All,

Have oil (looks like mist) leaking from my BOV.

Any notions on what could be causing it???

Oil too thin? Try using 10w60, or maybe you need an uprated oil seperator... Try cleaning the stock one for starters.

hi clean your turbo pipes and clean your intercooler,and check that your breather aren,t blocked.

i have the same prob..oil from Bov.

1) Memski, where is the oil seperator located,? or is that another name 4 the oil catch tank? -the shiny little black box thingy stuck to the head just under the interwarmer slightly to the right?

2)Zia,where is the breather pipe. do u mean the air intake or the oil breather pipe?

1) yes oil catch tank under TMIC
2) yes check clean breather pipe.

Mine still leaked a little (ie after a day or two driving you could see a mist on surrounding pipes) but made mine alot better.

u need to get an aftermarket oil seperator..
several places do them, they r not too costly..
just about to order mine from Forge (150gbp) as it sounds easy to do
(there is a how to by Andy Smith..very handy [])

Mates did that when running 1.3 bar with top mount and 10 laps around silverstone. It died, stuck rings and excessive loss of compression pumping oil out of dump valve like a goodun[][V]

I had the same prob with my car a few months ago, it turned out i had 2 much oil in the engine so it was blowing it through the intercooler and dv, might be worth checking?
