Alright Gents,

iv got a Mocal 16row OC, fitted its gots the thermo s/plate fitted, which i believe opens at 80deg,
now ivnoticed since the cold weather that my oil temp gauge barely move until stationary and then it start climbing, i think it gets to about 80 (iv not sat and watched it)

now weather permitting iv got a trackday on wednesday, now after reading a thread on the modifiers it has been brought to my attention that maybe i/we should be insulating/covering our oil coolers !

it was redreading's reply to a thread on the modifiers that got me thinking,

would just blocking the vanes on the cooler be surfice or are there others measures, bar removing the cooler all together,

just tape a bit of cardboard in front of it then that will stop the icy air getting to it
