no boost

just wondering if anyone can help with my R .
The prob is it basically wont boost just fitted a new engine and it wont boost over.2 bar
looked at all hoses every thing seems ok.
please help cause it is wrecking my head.

chech the actuator on the back of the turbo.

It is quite common for the little clip to come off and the rod come off the wastegate - so any amount of boost just opens the wastegate and goes down the exhaust.

oh and by the way what would u recomend to b the first mod i do a fmic or a ecu for our crap petrol .

Not sure what the question is....

what did I do to make it come off? Nothing - it just decided to disappear.

what did I do to fix it? got another clip and put it on. It can be done without taking the turbo off if you have rubber fingers. I ended up taking the turbo off to do it.

2nd time it happened I got angry and ground the pin off, drilled the arm and put a bolt through the lot with an arrangement of washers, locknuts and threadlock. It won't happen again

back again checked the wastegate all moving freely and intact.
oh have the actuater off and saw that u can adjust the rod couid it b that.
any advice ?

how much movement should the rod have in the actuater do they give trouble . mine is moving in and out around half inch
