I wouldnt want to service my car with any main dealer you will get stung between £60 & £80 per hour in labour alone and you could probably service it yourself for that.

I'm also confused why you think a dealers stamp at this time in the cars life is important. Buy some good quality engine oil (sil Pro 10-50) and by all means get genuine nissan oil and fuel filter, keep the reciepts and do it yourself... the money you will save could go towards some nice gearbox, diff and transfer box oil.
If you do not want to do it yourself, you can take it to a performance car service station, they will carry out a full service and start you off with a fresh service book if you wanted.

When I bought my R it had no history at all so I done the above.
I had them change every single drop of fluid.
The service charge was very resonable and the invioce listed every fluid used, amount, type and they also started a fresh service book.
I change my engine oil very often now though as it gets ragged round knockhill.
I've changed it four times having covered 600 miles.... It's all part of the track day budget... ;-)

Do it yourself mate, I would never take mine to a nissan dealer, they can do what you can, apart from the stamp of course but as long as you keep all your reciepts thay will be your proof because they will all be dated, also you would take more care of your own car than someone else!!

Mine was taken to a nissan dealer every year until recently, was having it done on the fiddle, so very cheap. I stopped because last time they didnt tighten the oil filter, (i was worried it had suddenly developed a leak). I've gone to a rally specialist since.

This thread reminds me of a joke...........................

Nelson Mandela is sitting at home watching TV and drinking a beer when he hears a knock at the door. When he opens it, he is confronted by a ittle Japanese man, clutching a clip board and yelling,

"You Sign! You sign!"

Behind him is an enormous truck full of car exhausts. Nelson is standing there in complete amazement, when the Japanese man starts to yell louder,

"You Sign! You sign!"

Nelson says to him, "Look, you've obviously got the wrong man", and shuts the door in his face.

The next day he hears a knock at the door again.

When he opens it, the little Japanese man is back with a huge truck of brake pads. He thrusts his clipboard under Nelson's nose, yelling,

"You sign! You sign!"

Mr Mandela is getting a bit hacked off by now, so he pushes the little Japanese man back, shouting: "Look, go away! You've got the wrong man. I don't want them!"

Then he slams the door in his face again.

The following day, Nelson is resting, and late in the afternoon, he hears a knock on the door again. On opening the door, there is the same little Japanese man thrusting a clipboard under his nose, shouting,

"You sign! You sign!"

Behind him are TWO very large trucks full of car parts. This time Nelson loses his temper completely, he picks up the little man by his shirt front and yells at him: "Look, I don't want these! Do you understand?

You must have the wrong name! Who do you want to give these to?"

The little Japanese man looks very puzzled, consults his clipboard, and says:

(It's a beauty)...

(wait for it)...

(Get your best Japanese accent ready)......

"You not Nissan Main Deala?"

Still waiting on some shims!
I actually do have a service book.. Although a service receipt from the likes of Hiteq, RC would probably be worth more than a Nissan Service Stamp..

But as Bobby says.. With this kind of car it doesn't really matter so much as most of us service our own cars anyway..

I wouldn't trust any main dealer to do any work on either of my cars, I know a few lads in the trade and have heard many horror stories.

I was putting my car into somewhere that wanted £250 to change the clutch and I was having an argument with my old boy about it.

He was saying that I was being over charged because it was a "tuner" that was doing it (partially true) and Nissan would probably do it cheaper!

Got him to phone Nissan and the conversation went like this.........

"Hi, how much would it be to change the clutch on a Nissan Pulsar"

"A Nissan Pulsar??? Sorry never heard of them!"
