have i got this right? does such a thing exist as i have been led to believe :? not sure if its an internal or external mod :?

it is true ive had a box with it done
its a steel plate welded and bolted to end of box to strengthen it
i doubted whether it was a good or bad thing as it may have been the welding that warped the case and caused the quaifee to kill itself ????
