just ordering my new bits, pistons etc etc......and need a new hg.... cometec is coming in coming in at a good price but lots of negative feedback on here.....anyone had much lucky with a freshly decked head and block using one of these? ned one up a tomei is over double the price. I'm using 86.5mm pistons....would an oem be ok to use..?

Used a cometic one on my last engine build, and that was with a freshly decked block and head.
And it pressurised the water water system and burst the the big main water hose at the back of block !!!!
Used a standard one after that was done and all is still good and thats running 1 BAR boost and is still going strong too.
On my new pulsar i`m in the middle of building up my new forged engine.
But going to run a standard blueprint one, as prob wont be running anymore than 1.2 bar of boost at a push.
Plus the standard HG gives a bit of safety as it gives something to give way on the engine if any thing goes wrong
