Around 7500rpm is the standard limit i think. What does a standard ecu rev to as im pretty sure mine before the nistune fitment went to around 8200rpm before the limiter?
Thanks for the responses guys, I got the ecu from Ed at Fusion it was given a basic map based on the spec I gave him, but the map was based on a same spec car except for my standard exhaust, would it have a big impact on things?. It is very rich however as stated earlier, maybe as safety feature given he did'nt get the car.Boost held very even across the range once it got to a bar. I'm I expecting alot from 22yr old machine at the end of the day, but it does drive very nicely, its not the first i've owned.
I did get the basic software package aswell and it is 20deg before at tickover so thats fine. On the exhaust front does anyone have an AM elbow or exhaust from Aus, they seem to be the only crowd making new and exciting stuff off the shelf, don't know about noise though cause thats my real problem with aftermarket. That makes a lot of sense. Ed or any good mapper would always be conservative on a map unless he is mapping the car. Put a better exhaust on, take a trip to see him in Surrey and I'm sure you will see vast improvements. It's not the age of the car that's the problem and the reason for high fuelling is the safety aspect. Correct fuelling will make a lot of difference, along with ignition timing.
