MSD digital 6+ install?

Hey, has anybody on here installed an msd ignition on their gtir?

Im thinkin about buying one but want to make sure i can install it and i have all the parts i need to.

Iv been reading the instruction from JWT in the usa for installing one on a sr20 but those engines ignitions are different to a gtir the distributor is different.

Anybody done this?

I've seen one pic of a GTIR with MSD ignitoin, but that was a quad-coil CDI setup - where the dizzie had been removed.

I have not done it, but am going to be going the Crane Cams Fireball HI6 route. You simply need the standard single stage CDI unit (MSD 6A) and a matching coil. Then you replace you existing power transistor with the MSD, and replace the factory coil with the new coil, connect the high-tension lead from the coil to the dizzie, and that's it.
