missfire

help,
ive just developed a bad missfire at about 5k revs its a short loss of power then it pulls through to the red............?

any ideas ?

could it be plugs, i have not changed them since rebuild and have done a few track days + i had a flat out race with a porker on the motorway just before this happend!!

hello mate i have the same prop but mine is about 4 and a half thousand rpm i changed the dizzy cap as it was a bit corroded but am doing the plugs next as they have been in threre 2 and a half years since i very first got the car

ok replaced the plugs ......... seems a bit better.
gtir303 do you know the part numbers for dizzy cap and rotor arm ?

Just spoke to Gary gtirspares in hospital bed and he reckons could be loose plug, ignition module, coil lead breaking down or over fueling I reckon
you should check maf plug ie: make sure it is a good connection
