Can't remember the proper name but seen these around before. I looked into them as you can get software of the internet from Japan to reprogram.

I'm a software/electronic/control engineer but the system as a whole looked a bit rough around the edges. With the right support its sounded great but the experience was in Australia and the software in Japanese.

Techrom and other people make those and they work well. Just one question though, the R32 Skyline ECU is programmable anyway (be it with only 8k flash), so has anyone bothered to check if the Pulsar one is too?

When the R33 was released Nissan locked the ECU, so a common mod back then was to replace that with the R32 GTR ECU (which alone picked up 10 - 15hp because there's not as tight emission control), but you could also reprogram the fuel and spark maps.

As always just because a tuner will try to sell you a £1000+ EMS doesn't mean you actually need it.

thats actually mine i am selling, nothing fishy at all, its very common is aus, japan and america to use a daughterboard, but for some reason has never caught on with you guys, i bought this to test on the micra ecu, as the ones i use are a lot more expensive than this, however its too big.
this is a excellent quality board.

you would obviously need a chip writer but these can be found for cheap on e-bay.

romeditor from 925style.com is a good start. you need to know where the locations of the maps are (give you a file to use or point you in the right direction)

have a look around these if you want some more info on it.

http://www.ztechz.net/id10.html some info on ecu tuning. (for the zx, but same ideas apply)

:)

hope this is of some help to someone

The Rom Editor is a good starting point, but there is live mapping available if you have a rom emulator, I used to do S13 chips but looking into GTiR's at some point.
