Main Bearings Clearance Problems

I've come around to doing the bottom end rebuild on my Jap Import GTI-R and hit a problem with my main bearing clearances. I've used plasti-gauge and 1.990mm wall thickness bearings and had readings as follow:

Cap 1 0.036mm Clearance
Cap 2 0.050mm Clearance
Cap 3 0.038mm Clearance
Cap 4 0.076mm Clearance
Cap 5 0.035mm Clearance

its stated in the manual that a clearance of between 0.004-0.022 is required for new engine builds.

http://www.nismo.co.jp/en/products/competition/engine/pdf/sr_metal.pdf (Here i've linked nismo bearing thicknesses for NON GTIR bearings which i assume are the same across the board)

ACL bearings are 1.980 standard wall thickness, so even with +0.025mm bearings i am going to struggle to meet these tolerances.

Does anyone have the crankshaft journal measurement parameters for GTIR?

Has anyone else had this problem? if so how did they sort it? Will it involve getting the crankshaft ground?

Cheers guys!
