had clutch changed
took for test drive, ABS light came on straight away & noticed lack of braking power

went back to garage, check everything, hoses, wires etc, no leaks, all seems ok

go for test drive again, as soon as pull off, ABS light comes on & again a severe loss of braking power

mechanic thinks it could be that when he undid the left ball joint, he may of stretched the front left ABS sensor & has damaged it.
he reckons that if the abs isnt working, there will not be as much braking power as when the abs is working, something to do with the brake fluid going through a solenoid/pump which is controlled by the abs??

does this sound right??

please help, cus my brakes were ace before & now there sh1t :(

If he's admitted to damaging it, let him replace it because those sensors cost around £400 by all accounts.

Allegedly faulty abs doesn't affect your brakes, according to the handbook for my lorry, but it damn well did

Check the connections on the inner wing and loom to ABS ECU first. Measure the resisitance of the sensor and compare this to a known good one.

Then if your sure replace the sensor

Thanks
