Longer Wheel Studs

A mate needs longer wheels studs on the back of his car to get his wheels on, any idea what size the standard studs are and what size he should get?

Even better would be some links to ones you lot have bought? There are quite a few different ones on ebay...

Also will the studs just knock out?

loose? what do you mean by that?
are the spine on the stud knackered ir is it the splines in the hub?

The actual bolts that the nuts go onto there is about 3 in total loose i noticed it when i took wheels off tried to tighten with fingers but to no avail?

the splines is the plural of spline. my error matey.

you could knock out the studs and check the splines matey

depends if your leaving the hubs on the car, when i changed mine, i stripped and rebuilt the hubs at the same time.

they have to be knocked or pressed out

if your not using them again i`d knock them out with a small lump hammer, if your using them again then i`d press then out to avoide ruining the threads

So you have to turn wheel full lock to get to studs?

Is it quite an easy job to strip and rebuild?Do you replace any original parts with new parts?

its def easier doing them off the car, only parts you would really replace on the hubs are the wheels bearings (with dust seals) and the longer studs for the spindles.

i powdercoated all the suspension parts before rebuilding
