light smoke from manifold/turbo?

Hi Guys after driving around in my car i notice a smell of exhaust gasses from the engine and when I stop after a journey I notice that there is a light cloud of smoke from the manifold/turbo area, only had the car a few weeks doesn’t appear to effect performance.

The paperwork says a new exhaust manifold gasket was fitted 4000 miles ago, the previous owner had a new turbo fitted then had only done 800 miles since and was sitting on his driveway for months until I bought it.

Possibly needs new turbo gaskets maybe? Anyone else had this problem? :?

check the bolts are secure on turbo elbow as they have a habit of working there way loose! deffo sounds like an exhaust leak there somewhere

Wouldnt of thought it was turbo gaskets as mine never smoked atol when they went, then again thats only my experience, others could be different!

As bob says, try the bolts / nuts. I had the same issue were they worked their way loose. Look at the state of the gasket to as it may have been crimped or misfitted.
