leaking tein coilover

My n/s/f tein coilover has been weaking for a while now, got to the point you can feel it quite badly even on the road.
Is it worth having it overhauled, last thing i wanna do is buy a new set of coilovers so just wondered if anyone had good companys to recomend or is it a tein only job.

I spoke to Tein in Milton Keynes about getting mine revalved, the guy i spoke to was really helpfull, iirc its about £80 a corner for an overhaul.

I contacted them too, were pretty helpful and not too expensive.Before you get in touch, write down the number on the sticker near the bottom of the strut as they will ask for this to identify exactly which one you have(UK/Japan ones are different).

Tein UK wont touch Jap Teins, or thats certainly what I have been told, whether this is correct I do not know but it was a Tein dealer that provided this info so I dont see why it wouldnt be right.

Mine were imported from Japan and they were happy to service mine(milton keynes)if necessary.Would be a pretty shit company if they wouldn't service their parent companies outfits, forcing you to either scrap them or send to Japan.

Thanks i will try them after the bank holiday weekend..
i spoke with tein today didnt sound to promising the bloke was polite and helpful but said it would cost roughly £200 for one, and thats if they can even do them.

I know what you mean. On another note at the moment all im left with is a scrap shock, im thinking about stripping it down myself is it just a standard type seal in there i could measure up and try to find elsewhere?

I just got rid of mine and fitted BC as you can buy replacement shocks for them
