Hi

is it possible to keep the stock gearset and only replace 2nd gear with a quaife gear ?

or is this not compatible ?

Thank you

It probably is okay though you may struggle to buy one gear if you don't already have a gearset. I know Andy struggled to source individual gears though he got there in the end.

Wow thanks for the replys everyone !

Does 3rd gear brake as easy as 2nd gear ?

Don't know if I should buy 2nd & 3rd or 1st & 2nd , I will not be launching the car though .

Thanks again everyone :)

3rd and 4th are the worst to go. Not often hear about 1st and 2nd going.

...but if you've got the cash, go for the full quaife kit

thanks for your advise. i called them and they stated that 400hp at the wheels is to much power for a quaife box to handle as they only run the same size gears as the oem gears?

is this true ? :(

Chances are the gearcase will let go before the gears at that level. you have around somewhere around 500bhp at the fly?

Quaife are very conservative with their power estimates. Quite a few people running their gearsets at that sort of power. Depends on what you want to do with the car.
