internal engine meauserments

having me pulsar engine rebuilt by a small firm in north wales and he needs to know what the 'installed piston ring clearance' is. the only marking on the piston is 05 according to the guy building the engine

can any one shed any light on this?

I would have to recommend that if you have given your engine to rebuild then you need to give him all the specifications from the workshop manual. What ever you do don't let him build it to "normal" 2ltr spec's.
