injector drop resister?

could anyone help ,my injector drop resistor has been playing up, it was causing problems with injector no3, bypassed it temporarily an the R runs sweet as b4 but with 1 problem, the resistor stays hot even when engine&ignition switched off, is this causing the battery drain problem ive been having lately its only had this problem since the resistor started playing up. Ive got a new resistor on the way will this solve my battery problem. :?

How exactly did you bypass the resistor temporarily?
it will run hot!! did you bypass & - the bypass correctly
get that new one fitted asap
if it's only the resistor that'll sort the drain

Sorry jon bypass is probably the wrong word ,what ive done is put a temporary connection from another wire on the resistor to the injector at fault.
