Incorrect Gauges

As we all know the Nissan gauges (oil/water) aren't to be believed. My question is for you who have fitted after market units. Did you connect the new gauge to the Nissan senders or fit your own?

Reason I'm asking is I'm planning to get the Nissan Consult software/cable and was hoping the senders were accurate

you usually find guages come with their own senders....

Left all the standard senders in place, oil pressure i put in a 3 way split, so i could keep the standard sensor, after market sender and a feed for a mechanical sender to make sure everything was reading right.
Oil temp one i welded a new boss into the sump.

All nice and easy to do, if the head is off, but the pressure sender is fiddly with your hands inthrough the wheel arch and squished up through from below.

consult won`t give you boost, oil pressure or temperature matey. It gives you water temp though
