Imprezza Gearbox Removal

Any of you lads had an Imprezza WRX sti blah blah ,and had to take the box out? just wondering if its a easy one or interesting like an R :lol: got a couple that need help.

Moved to Regular maintenance/servicing

My mate just pulled his one out and said it was piss easy
compared to the R.

I think he said it took about 2hours on his drive way.

Yeah it isn't hard atall, 6 bolts IIRC......you will need to remove the shaft that the release bearing fork sits on before removing the box, IIRC the release fork stays with the engine or summin like that...I spent ages trying to split one before I realised

Tweenierob on here is a good guy to speak to about this. He was forever pulling his old imprezas apart. He's grown up now and got a nissan :lol:

yes they are very very easy helped a lad at workto do his it was done in less than 2 hours. :shock:
But then favor will be repayed when i take my box out which wont be so easy :twisted:
