Hi. im running kent gtir cams (NGTi02)and hks ajustable pullies i have a very iratic idle some times it will sit at 1700rpm other times 900rpm then when it has ben run for a bit it will fluctuate between 800 and 2000rpm. im still bedding in the engine but it is driving me mad. The cams are set at zero degrees. just wondered if anyone knew the best angle to set them and if any one has come across this problem before?.

Does it make a difference if the bottem end has been lightend (light flywheel fitted) ?. (the ecu and all engine managment devices are standard).

With all the engine mods you have on the standard ecu you will be lucky to get a stable idle, cause you fueling we be wrong and all the inlet mainifold pressures will have changed due to the cams, the fly wheel also wont help matters but you should be able to get a good idle with the engine management upgrades you still require.

Could be worth checking for air leaks and doing a fault code check though, just incase :D

Hope this helps you,
