Hi all, had my r on the road a week now, well worked for around two days in total.
Suddenly the car lost all power so i got my check light working again after the previous noughat of an owner took the bulb out.
i had a code 34-det sensor so i replaced the det sensor with a new part along with some denso plugs
(heat range 8 ) nissan leads new rotor arm and dizzy cap fuel filter and also fitted an uprated fuel pump. also a mongoose downpipe as my bog one was split on the flexy.
i noticed that my old fuel filter was seriously blocked, i could barely blow air through it.
after driving ten miles i developed an uncanny misfire throughout the rev range, after investigating and eliminateing all the new parts i had replaced i could not find the problem, it almost sounded like i had a blowing exhaust manifold gasket.
whilst the engine was running i gave number one injector plug a wiggle and the car ran like a dream, then the misfire returned, my injectors are also slack in the rail.
could the increased fuel flow be causing my injector o-rings to of failed and be drawing in air, i have noticed that the carbon deposits on top of the piston have also been cleaned to bare aluminium, (no pits though thank god)
if injector o-rings is the case do nissan keep them on the shelf as i can see them being a multi fit part, also is this a common fault and how much do these cost?
help appreciated, i would really like to drive the car but as of yet i aint got far, lol, im finding this car quite comical, it never goes to plan!!!
