How do you strip a prop shaft down?

I've got a spare prop shaft that i need to remove the rubber mounts which i believe house some bearings. Can someone please tell me how to remove the 2 mounts/bearings?

I've tried and can't get the fookers off!!

Ive not done a Gtir one, the merc ones you have to use a press.

Just out of interest do you normally need to check/replace bearings/donuts after a certain time or how to i go about checking mine?

as box is out now would not be much more work if i needed to replace anything.
