holding back at 5500rpm

for some reason after changing my oil and cleaning plugs my black beast holds back at 5500rpm. It will still pull round to redline after a splutter and pop.

did you gap your plugs

plugs were all within tolorance and untouched apart from wiped with a cloth as they are like new:?

what was the gap on them though and have you checked all your plugs are in correct and your leads etc
