Anyboady good with the HKS EVC4?

I've been trying to get mine to boost over 1.5 bar and it's starting to p1$$ me off now. I've set it for 1.6, 1.8 2.0 bar and every time the unit hits 1.5 bar and then bleeds off to hold a steady 1.4 bar!

My base level is set at 0.7 bar and have done the self learn mode.

My question is does the EVC 4 work in % over base level or number? i.e. 100% over base level (0.7 bar) = 1.4 bar

Someone told me that the EVC 4 could go upto 2.5 bar over base level. Can anybody else confirm this?

I just need to work out if my EVC is goosed or i need a stronger actulator.

only goes to 2bar as far as I know, have you tried resetting it as it has an offset mode, scramble and something else......which effect the top line boost.

Yes I have reset the unti several times and yes I have a copy of the manual. However, the manual does not tell you if it goes up in % or bar of boost.

you may need to set the warning boost level on the last menu IIRC
if it goes over this level. eg if its set to 1 bar and the overboost alarm setting is .2bar the alarm will go off at 1.2 bar and it will go back to factory boost level?

then again, my EVC4 seems fu**ed!!

changed many boost pipes, even bought a baily dump valve and it still wont work

im currently worse than a 1 bar mong
