hope u can help me

ive noticed that my engine gets quite hot and the fans dont kick in.. what tells the fans to come on and where is it?

The ecu earths the fans to turn them on.
Have you had the aircon removed? If so, check for a couple of wires down the battery side of the radiator where the bullet shaped aircon thingy was fitted. They need to be reconnected for the fans to work.

connect them direct to a switch in your car so when u racing just switch them on

You should use a Consult connector and emulator software to determine whether the ECU is getting a temp signal from the sensor.
The sensor may be disconnected to faulty.

There are two separate sensors, one for the gauge in the car and one for the ECU.

The ECU is not connected directly to the Fans ground though. They are triggered via a relay.

I would start by bypassing the relay and shorting the two points which feed the fans. you need to short pin 3 and 5.
