heater not heating!

ive had this annoying problem witht the heater in that it never seems to want to blow out hot air. everyting about it works fine all the controls, speeds etc, even the air cons perfect. but set it to hot and it only ever really comes out luke warm, and afer a while will start to get hotter, but nothing like what it should be.

any ideas as to what could be causing it?

Possibly the thermostat stuck open, its very easy and cheap to replace to it a good idea to change it first. Possibly blocked heater matrix, could try flushing it :?:

how would i go about doing that?

where abouts is the thermostat located, is it a simple unbolt and stick the new one in job?

:D Hi Andy,standing at the front of the car with the bonnet up look at the righthand side of the radiator,follow the lower water hose from the bottom of the rad and where it meets the engine you will see a sticker with words to the effect of do not remove while hot :!: or something like that,the thermostat is in that housing :!:
