I was just thinking back to an article i read in Revs i think( back in its infancy). This guy lagged all his pipes in exhaust wrap or something like that. After each thing was wrapped engine bay temps were recorded and there was a drop every time. It think the car was a GTT. It started with wrapping the exhaust manifold and the turbo, maybe even the downpipe. Then the intercooler pipework and even the coolant hoses. The engine bay temp drop after all this was done was massive. Just wondering has anyone on here tried this? Could it do away with the need for a frontmount due to the dreaded heatsoak?
