well there is rumours although no proof as such that Nissan strengthened the casings (made them thicker) on the phase 2 gtir's, someone on here a few years ago did a comparison and there was a difference (im sure it was markturbo), nissan apparently did this on the quiet so that they didnt have lots of recalls.
