Hi all,
During my rebuild, i managed to break the standard temp sender. I phoned the motorfactors and requested a primera temp sender as they didn't have a Pulsar item (no surprise) but i figured they were probably the same. when it arrived the only difference was the tab to attached the wire was vertical as opposed to horrizontal. However, i have noticed that the car get warm very quickly. As in seconds, from cold. it sits at standard needle position during normal driving but as soon qas i enter the town and hit traffic the needle slowly rises. The fan does eventually kick in but the hoses don't seem any warmer than usual running temps so i can only assume the Primera sender is more sensitive. Can anyone confirm this? Failing that, could i have a dodgy sender? Everything else seems to be absolutely fine and short of getting a water temp gauge i thought i'd ask before doing that.
