GTIR Rear Shocks

Can anyone tell me if the rear shocks in the GTIR are the same as those in a GTI?

Trying to get a price at the moment and a lot of places dont have the GTIR listed, but do have a listing for a 2 litre 3 door, which is presumably the GTI.

Just need to know if these will fit our car before ordering.

I could almost guaruntee they won't be the same part. The GTiR is heavier (by some 300 kgs) and therefore, they would need to be more highly damped. Similarly, the spring rates on the GTiR will be higher too. Your only hope for the OE dampers is Nissan I'm afraid, no one else makes or sells them ! I know the fronts are £116 + vat each ( I need 2 new ones ) so, I'm guessing the rears will be around the same sort of price.
