GTIR For Sale, Brand New Racing Clutch & Stage 1 Hybrid Turbo

Hey all,

Change of job means my GTIR isnt practical however I won't be selling it for stupid money. I don't have to sell it so won't accept anything miles away from asking price.

Here's the spec when I got it in the summer.

Running 1 bar loop
Walbro 255 fuel pump
GAB adj suspension
Uprated rear arb
Front strut brace
Silicone hoses
Baileys atmospheric blow off valve
Turbo timer
Clear side repeaters
Blueflame full ss exhaust system
Organic uprated clutch
Alarm and immobilizer
Aftermarket shifter

Heres what I have done to it in last 2 months to increase reliability and performance

New front braided brake lines (Goodridge)
Refurb alloys in RS Ultimate Green from the Wheel Specialist in Cumbernauld
Stage 2 Paddle Clutch (Exedy) installed for up to 400bhp with paperwork
Fully rebuilt Stage 1 Hybrid Turbo from Turbo Technics with paperwork
HKS mushroom filter installed

Had it on dyno on old turbo and it done 260bhp at Hypertech last month (paperwork included) at 1 bar. The new hybrid turbo will easily hit 1.7 bar safely so likely 300bhp available if desired. Put in an electronic boost gauge and you're set for high boost and low boost.

Tyres are in good condition.

Tax is out at end of November. I will put on another 6 months or a year at buyers cost.

MOT is out June 2014.

Classic insurance available on this if you are over 25. My policy is £300, unlimited mileage. If you are under 25 be prepared for an astronomical policy price and get a quote before viewing the car.

Mileage is a mix of km's and miles

This is a dam quick car, and is now quicker with the hybrid turbo. But you can also drive it economical. It only gets VPower Nitro, full tank will set you back £60 and you will get 300 miles if you drive it conservatively ie off boost.

Finally, no time wasters or tyre kickers. There are no test drives. I will take you for a run if requested.

Been a long time since ive had a nose bleed, but you can try if you fancy it?

Going by the fact he got his wheels done outside glasgow and mapped outside edinburgh

Id put money on him being based in central(ish) scotland.

All who get mapped at ed fusion live down Surrey then?
I have travelled to Newcastle to buy an exhaust system yet live down South.

Answering in order.

Name is Stevie Nicholas, email contact stevienicholas@googlemail.com, L reg phase 2, no sunroof and think its 13 owners however the car previously had a forged engine in it before I bought it and therefore I have no idea how many owners went through the current engine.

Based up in, as VSS says, central Scotland lol

Also just to clarify, it hasnt been mapped. Just put on the rolling road to see current power and to check fuelling was ok and it was. Also it seems Turbo Technics are using upgraded parts for their Stage 1 turbos. The old one had ceramic wheels and single propellers while the new one has steel wheels and twin propellers.

Just to note, you could do with some more pictures than that so that potential buyers can see the car better, in focus and some interior and engine shots would help too

I understand that however I figure serious buyers will come and see it as opposed to making a decision based on pics on the forum.

However I also understand people might want to see the condition of engine bay etc.

I will take some pics on Monday when the car comes back from the garage and post them up.

Cheers, tbh I dont want to sell it but dont know what the future holds either and savings only last so long. Starting up the trucking so if I get a job str8 away then hopefully I wont have to sell it. Had an R before, think I exchanged turbos with you as well lol, but didnt appreciate the work involved. Now I do but then the company goes tits up.

Dont know if thats sarcasm between you 2 lol but wheels only got done in September. Not many people like them but I do and figure theyre different than the normal black R with white multis.

Yeah, at that point I didnt appreciate how much work you had to put into them to keep them on the road, this time I did and then the job goes tits up
